What Therapy is like with Dami...

I take a humanistic approach to therapy, which means I view you as the expert in your own life and experiences. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support to explore what you're going through with curiosity, honesty, and self-compassion.

I aim to create a space that feels safe and respectful where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out.

I often work with youth, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, identity questions, life transitions, and addiction or recovery-related concerns.

Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to your current challenges while building on the strengths and resilience you already possess.

Rather than telling you what to do, I work collaboratively with you to deepen self-understanding, clarify what matters most to you, and support meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and authentic.

From my work with clients, I have seen how therapy can help you get from just getting through each day to feeling more confident in your choices and more aligned with what matters most to you.

What is DBT & How Can it Help...

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps people better understand and manage intense emotions while developing practical skills for everyday life.

I often incorporate DBT in my work with clients navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, life transitions, and recovery-related concerns.

I view DBT as an approach that is effective in helping people feel understood, as it can create space to acknowledge difficult experiences and balances acceptance and change, while also builds practical skills around emotional regulation, communication, distress tolerance, and mindfulness in everyday life.

For many people, these skills can support greater confidence in navigating challenges, strengthening relationships, and responding to difficult emotions in ways that feel more intentional and aligned with their values.
