What Therapy is like with Renée...

I believe that every experience, emotion, and chapter of your life has something to teach us, and that healing begins when we feel safe enough to explore those parts with curiosity and compassion.

Life often brings challenges, uncertainties, and experiences that may leave us feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve us.

Together, we’ll work to better understand these patterns, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and uncover what truly matters to you.

My role is not to tell you which path to take, but to help you build the self-trust, insight, and skill needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and

clarity.

In our sessions, we’ll explore your fears, hopes, strengths, anxieties, and everything in between, helping you better understand the landscape of your inner world and how it shapes your experiences, relationships, and choices.

We’ll work to strengthen your inner compass, balance your nervous system, and create space for meaningful growth, so that you can move forward feeling grounded, connected, and aligned with the life you want to create.

As a therapist, I am passionate about helping people discover what is possible in their lives and

find the courage to step toward those possibilities with authenticity and self-compassion.

If want to better understand yourself & your relationships, strengthen your self-trust, and navigate everyday life with greater confidence and intention, Renée may be the therapist for you!

Why Do I Keep Doing Things I Don't Actually Want To Do?

Many clients I work with come to therapy asking some version of the question:

"Why do I keep doing things I know aren't helping me?"

You may find yourself overthinking instead of taking action, avoiding difficult conversations, staying in unhealthy relationship patterns, procrastinating on things that matter, or getting pulled back into habits that leave you feeling frustrated with yourself.

The answer is often more complex than a lack of motivation or willpower.

Many of these patterns developed for a reason. At some point, they may have helped you cope with stress, uncertainty, fear, rejection, conflict, or difficult life experiences.

The challenge is that strategies designed to protect us can sometimes begin to hold us back from the life, relationships, and opportunities we truly want.

This is one reason why I am drawn to incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work with clients. ACT helps people develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions so they can spend less energy fighting their internal dialogue and more time understanding what they actually need in order to move toward what matters most to them.

A common question is "How do I get rid of anxiety?" yet ACT would ask, "How do I build a meaningful life even if anxiety shows up?"

I help clients better understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, reconnect with their values, strengthen self-trust, and develop practical ways to move toward the life you want in alignment with who you are!
